~ Veritas Christian Co-op ~ Lebanon, Ohio ~General Science (Grades 7-9) ~ Exploring Creation with General Science; by Dr. Jay Wile (Apologia Science). Students will touch on the basics in several areas of science. This includes the history of science, scientific inquiry, experimentation, simple machines, geology, fossils, life, energy and the human body. The handiwork of the Creator is a central theme in the course. Experiments are part of each module. Scheduling Info/Prerequisites: 3 trimesters (Year-long) Intended Curriculum: Exploring Creation with General Science by Dr. Jay Wile (Apologia) Outside Work: Significant Supply/Book Fees: $5 lab fee (any money not spent will be returned to the parents, but for the most part I will provide the lab supplies); Student will need to purchase Exploring Creation with General Science textbook, and Solutions and Tests for Exploring Creation with General Science. Supply List: Please bring to class each week: Textbook Lab notebook (can be any notebook of the student's choice, but a 3-ring binder with loose-leaf notebook paper is highly recommended) Pencil
