Literature Study: Farmer Boy (Grades 5,6) ~ We will delve into this great work of literature over the course of the trimester. On our literary journey, we will explore elements of plot, character analysis, and stylistic techniques such as figurative language, similes, metaphors, and foreshadowing. Assignments will cover vocabulary, reading comprehension and creative writing based on themes from the book. Reading (to be done at home) will be broken into manageable sections each week.

    Farmer Boy book
    3 ring binder or folder with prongs - your choice.
    Regular and colored pencils

***Important Note*** This is a long book. Children will need to have read the first 4 chapters prior to the first class.
