Literature Study: Lord of the Flies (Grades 7-10) ~ As students read the book, they will learn about the author, time period, literary analysis based upon the foundation of the Bible, use literary terms, deal with plot construction, dig into character studies, and bring attention to the author’s themes and ideas. Lessons will include vocabulary, comprehension, analysis and critical thinking exercises, questions on related Biblical principles, and other activities. Outside Work: Moderate

Supply/Book Fees: $5 book fee (I will purchase the books as a group so that we all have the same edition and same page numbers)

Supply List:

    1” 3-ring binder
    Pen/pencil
    Access to a good dictionary, a thesaurus, a Bible, and sometimes a topical Bible or concordance. Supervised access to the Internet also can be helpful at times.
   

    Teacher will purchase the books and pass them out the week before classes begin.
