~ Veritas Christian Co-op ~ Lebanon, Ohio ~Open a Restaurant (Grades 5,6) ~ Kids learn how to operate a restaurant. At the end they open their restaurant to parents and kids as a fundraiser. There’s menu planning, nutrition, writing (how to make food sound good), service and teamwork. Scheduling Info/Prerequisites: 1 trimester Intended Curriculum: Own Outside Work: Minimal Supply/Book Fees: $5 supply fee Supply List: 3-ring folder pencil/pen notebook paper for class Access to a computer Later on in the trimester students will need: 1 poster board, information on a charity of interest, a contribution of food/drinks/supplies to serve our guests at the restaurant, and black pants/skirt and white shirt to wear when we open our restaurant. |
