~ Veritas Christian Co-op ~ Lebanon, Ohio ~Starting Points: Where Our Thinking Begins (Grades 8-10) ~ Part two teaches three different approaches for talking with non-Christians in the 21st century. This will help the student to internalize his personal Biblical world view. We will also examine the founding of our nation from a biblical world view and examine ideas the founding fathers used to write the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. There are no papers in this section of the class. 2008-2009 year completed the Theology and Literature study as well as the 5 writing assignments. 2009-2010 year will complete the History study and will include NO writing assignments. Upon completing the entire course (at co-op and at home) the student will have earned 1 credit in each of Bible, Literature and American History. Scheduling Info/Prerequisites: 3 trimesters (year-long); a continuation of 2008/2009 course, but does not require completion of last year to register for this year. need the Starting Points Primer plus the books listed if they were not in the
class last year.
